S.L.J Day 4 Activity 2: Pancakes and Maple Syrup?

My favourite food at this moment is Macaroni and Cheese with bacon and tomato

Ingredients

250gms bacon, chopped, or more to taste
2 large onions, chopped
breadcrumbs
5 ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced
500g package elbow macaroni
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions

Cook and stir bacon and onions in a frying pan over medium heat until bacon is crisp and onions are softened.
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes.
Drain and return pasta to pot.
Add 2 Tbs of flour to bacon and onion mixture and stir with wooden spoon.
Slowly add 1 cup of full fat milk stiring until mixture thickens.
Add 1 cup grated cheese.
Add pasta to the cheese sauce (or vice versa) and stir. Place combined mixture in an ovenproof container and cover with rest of cheese, tomato slices and bread crumbs.Bake in oven for 30mins or until cheese on top is golden brown and bubbling.

    Yum! This macaroni and cheese recipe sounds delicious... it's making me hungry! I also really like adding ham and peas into mac and cheese, have you ever tried that?
