Hi Justice...great to see you blogging on the SLJ. There's still some time to complete the activities before school begins - how many more can you get done? Keep up the great work.
It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team. Goodness, you've created some pretty original names for this unusual green pond!!
I see that you prefer your second suggestion, "Is it alive?". That's really cool. I just wonder, though, if you think that would actually attract tourists. I think that's what the people in Rotorua are hoping to do by changing the ponds name from the Devil's Bath...
It does make you wonder though, doesn't it? When a pool bubbles and boils, is it alive??
Have you ever been to Rotorua to see these pools and the thermal geysers? It's such a mystical, magical place, I think. I've been there and I found it really fascinating. I have to say, though, that I didn't love the odour in the area. It does smell a little bit rotten, because of the chemicals in the mud and water.
I hope that you did have some great adventures visiting new places this past summer break and I hope you're happy to be back at school. Good luck this year!
