Day 5. Activity 1: Towering Timbers

I think that logging should be allowed in NZ. I think that logging should be allowed because it gives jobs to New Zealanders thus giving them money and money to the country. It'll also provide the things that we need to build things (e.g houses). BUT, it should be controlled and not in native forest and what you cut should be replanted that was you will have more wood to cut and then things can live there for the time being.

  1. Hi Justice,

It is great to see you taking part in the Summer learning journey! That sounds like a well reasoned opinion about logging as you considered different perspectives about the issue. Keep up the good work!

  2. Kia ora Justice,

My name is Mikey. I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, along with Patricia, Lee, Izzy and Sophie. It looks like you've been busy, completing lots of activities - well done! :)

I really enjoyed reading your opinion piece on logging in New Zealand. It's great that you've considered the issue from multiple perspectives and come up with a solution to help protect our environment. I think it's really important that we not only think about ourselves (and the money we could make) but about the environment and the animals we share it with.

Well done on a great post Justice. I look forward to reading more of your blog soon. Until then, happy blogging! :)
